How did an average Aussie single mum go from worse than broke to living comfortably in less than six months?

My life was a mess. The bills were rolling in. The debts were a nightmare. I had six kids to support. ON MY OWN. WITH NO MONEY.

Now before you jump in and start judging, I was not single by choice. My husband of almost 20 years passed away in November, 2005, leaving me with a financial disaster to try and clear up. He was a go getter and wanted to do things real fast, so in the previous five years, we had mortgaged our first home to the hilt and bought our first investment property. That was in July 2001. From there we went on buying, renovating and selling real estate and bought our second family home in July, 2003. Things were looking good for the future. But that all came crashing down on one miserable day.

At the time of his death, we had four houses. They were all mortgaged to within an inch of their values. He had just refinanced the family home with a non-conforming lender at an exorbitant interest rate of 10.25%. Most other lenders were charging about 7.95% at the time. He hadn't renewed his life insurance policy when he had left his employment as a train driver two years before. And the paltry amount of superannuation money he'd accumulated barely covered all the other debts he'd left behind. You see, sadly, he believed in living a champagne lifestyle on a beer money wage.

I had just returned to paid employment after spending most of the past 20 years as a stay at home mum. I loved my new job and it paid quite well. Money for jam really, taking phone bookings for taxis. It was shift work, but that was OK. The kids were older now and we could work around that. Things were starting to look a bit brighter. AND THEN HE DIED.

I kept working, with friends and family being very supportive, especially my dear old mum. My oldest son has a mild disability, meaning he couldn't be left unsupervised. He was too much of a handful for even my oldest daughter who at only eighteen, was a very mature and responsible young lady. Unfortunately, his behaviour got the better of him at school. He misbehaved once too often and was excluded.

What was I to do? I couldn't expect anyone else to take care of him on a full time basis, so I had to quit my job. I was devastated. How was I going to make ends meet? My mortgage repayments on four properties were well into the several thousand dollars a month range. The rent from the other houses, didn't even come close to covering it. And now I faced the prospect of a future on a pension until my son left home. Not a very pleasing thought.

I had to sell, first one and then a second of the investment properties. But the money wasn't going very far. I needed something else. Something I could do from home. Something I didn't need to spend years learning how to master. AND ABOVE ALL SOMETHING THAT WAS GOING TO BRING IN A DECENT INCOME.

As always in a crisis, I turned to my trusted friend. THE INTERNET. I could always rely on the net. If only I could find one of those work at home things that actually does what it says. MAKES MONEY. I had tried before and failed miserably, just like 95% of other new online businesses. But this time it would be different. Why? Because I would make sure that I got it right. Make sure that I didn't throw good money after bad. I had tried MLM's, paid to surf, data entry, HYIPs, matrices, turnkey stores, surveys, mystery shopping. You name it, I had done it. I had even dabbled in affiliate marketing on the crappy little websites I'd built. I was a bit of an Internet junkie. No, to be honest, I was a huge Internet junkie.

I HAD TRIED IT ALL. I HAD FAILED MORE TIMES THAN I CARE TO REMEMBER. I HAD WASTED MORE MONEY ON USELESS EBOOKS AND SYSTEMS THAN I HAD EVER MADE. WHAT THE HELL WAS I GOING TO DO?

In desperation I started scouring the net for more work at home business information. I looked at site after site of garbage that I had seen a thousand times before. You can earn instant money five minutes from now. WHAT A LOAD OF RUBBISH ! I knew that wasn't true. You can't start something on the net without some effort. And then there was marketing and a whole pile of other stuff that I knew a little about. Things that I knew were important to success. How could I put it all together so that I could make it work? I knew what I needed to do to get started, but where do I go from there?

Site after site of copycat prebuilt plug-in websites. Yes they work for some, but they didn't interest me because that meant stuff like list building, email campaigns, auto-responders and other technical stuff that I had a little knowledge of but no expertise. I didn't have time for that sort of stuff right now. I wanted something that I could get up and running in a fairly short time. Something that was mine, not just a copycat system. Something that would tell me what to do next. A foundation to build on for the future, that could be used time and time again to succeed.

Then I saw it. A tiny little banner flashing at me. I don't know why it grabbed me but I'm glad it did? It said something like earn extra cash working from home. there was a picture of a guy holding a wad of AUSTRALIAN cash. Hey it's for Aussies. I'd better take a look. So I did.

What I found was a website written in a confronting style. The first thing I was hit with on the landing page was a bright red headline stating "WARNING: THIS SITE CONTAINS VALUABLE INFORMATION ON HOW I GET RICH WORKING FROM HOME IN AUSTRALIA". It drew me in deeper and deeper. This guy was so arrogant, he almost bordered on rude. I read every word of that website three times over. But I was still not convinced.

It was about 2 am. I went straight to Google and started searching. Searching for scams and rip-offs involving this site. Searching for negative information on the official government sites. Anything I could find telling me to stay away from this website. What I found instead were dozens of testimonials. He's been on A current Affair, they'd expose him for a scamster surely. Jackie O spoke of him on 2DayFM. Even NineMSN had his ad on their front page. I found websites that had been made by others using the system. Many of them were similar, but there were a number of real class acts amongst them. Hey, if these people were doing this using the system I'd just read about, I wanted in. Or did I?

But, I still wasn't convinced enough to part with my cash. YET. The next few days were spent going over and over, trying to find a reason not to do this thing. I was so used to being scammed, I guess it became second nature. Yes, there were odd posts on forums from people who had bought it and felt ripped off. But the overwhelming majority of information was positive. There will always be a few that buy something, try half-heartedly and then blame the program or system for their failure. I've seen the same names over and over in hundreds of forums over the years. "I tried this for a week. It doesn't work. It's a scam" The next week the same people are claiming that something else is a scam. I dismissed these posts for what they were. A load of rubbish. For something to work well, it takes time and effort. THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS A GET RICH QUICK SCHEME. I returned to the site, spent my $AU79, and downloaded the file.

WHAT I HAD FOUND WAS THE RICH POM.

It was some ungodly hour in the morning when I had a quick skim through. As I scrolled through the first few pages of "the document", I was disappointed to find that it was just a guide to affiliate marketing. Much of the information presented was stuff I already knew. I went to bed in disgust having all sorts of thoughts about being ripped off and how unfair life was.

But a new day brought a new attitude. I decided to have a thorough read. I wanted to see if there was anything new and useful that I could use. What I found made me excited. So excited in fact, I started building a website straight away and had it up and running that night.

It was not just a conglomeration of useless information lumped together and called an eBook. It was a complete step by step guide on how to succeed with affiliate marketing. It may not be everyone's cup of tea, but for me it was a godsend. This document finally gave me the pieces of the jigsaw that I had been missing.

Whether you are new to the net or not, following the advice The Rich Pom gives in his document, to the letter, will ensure your success. Use the support system he has in place to get further personal advice from him and many other helpful and knowledgeable members.

Sure there are people out there who wince at the name The Rich Pom. I am not one. His methods could be called "in your face". His arrogance, you get used to. His support is second to none. Like it or not, he is a success. Make the most of it and build your own success off his back. Undeniably, it works, if you're prepared to make the commitment. It's how ALL the big boys make their money.
